Callan is ONE YEAR OLD

Our sweet baby is one year old. It has only been one year in the scheme of things, but the enormous growth he has made in this short time is truly mind-blowing. One year ago he was like a little swaddled potato in my arms, and now he is "talking" and "listening" and crawling all about. He says "mama" and "dada" and calls Ruby "baba." Sometimes he prefers Mom and sometimes he prefers Dad. His little face lights up every time he sees Daniel Tiger. He loves his stuffed animals, giving them kisses and hugs. He is indiscriminately affectionate and caring to both inanimate and animate beings. We love him tremendously. He has brought an inordinate amount of joy to our lives.

For his first birthday, we had a small gathering at our home with close family and friends. His birthday party was Daniel Tiger themed, of course. Callan got to spend some time playing with his friend, Adam, and his face was cake frosted in true one-year old fashion. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...
