St. Patrick's Day 2019
We decided to check out downtown Gainesville, GA, for St. Patrick's Day. Luckily, it was a gorgeous day outside. Initially, we weren't too thrilled because the town seemed rather dead--it being a Sunday and all. On Sundays small southern towns literally shut down. There were all of two restaurants and one book store open. Eventually we came across a small coffee shop that sold a few lunch items--sandwiches, quiche, salad, etc. We decided to eat there. Afterward, to our amazement, the quiet town of Gainesville started to have a St. Patrick's Day awakening--food tents, face painting, and even bongo-drumming hippies in the park. We ended up staying awhile since Callan was really enjoying himself. He loved the opportunity to practice some beats on the bongo drum--that boy is seriously too cool for this mama. Anyway, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves :)
